Stellar line-up for Coillte Come Home 2025

The Highstool Prophets are among the top music acts that will perform at the Coillte Come Home Festival.
Kiltimagh is set to come alive this July as the much-loved Coillte Come Home Festival returns for another week of vibrant celebration, from Wednesday to Monday, July 9th to 14th.
A highlight on the local calendar, the festival welcomes home the “Coilltes” - a fond name for those with roots in the area who have spread far and wide - and throws open its arms to visitors and neighbours alike. This year’s festival promises something for everyone, with a rich mix of music, family fun, comedy, sport, and community pride.

The festivities begin on Wednesday, July 9th, with a stellar comedy night, Coillte Come Laugh, hosted by the ever-popular Karl Spain, featuring John Colleary, Fred Cooke, and Julie Jay at the Cill Aodain Court Hotel. The evening will culminate in the official opening by the King of the Coilltes and a dazzling fireworks display over the Festival Field.
Music will spill onto the streets and into local pubs throughout the week, with busking competitions, live performances, and a special appearance from The Highstool Prophets on Friday night and Ruaile Buaile on Saturday night, preceded by local talent and competition winners.
For families, the Festival Field will offer wholesome entertainment on Sunday, July 13th, including Murray’s Fun Fair, ice cream trucks, sack races, egg throwing, and a free children’s obstacle course courtesy of Kiltimagh Tourism. Little ones will also enjoy the Children’s Toy Tractor Run at Market Square.
Sports enthusiasts can take part in or cheer on competitors in the thrilling Race2Glory adventure race on Saturday morning, with registration at the Kiltimagh GAA pitch and the finish line at the Sculpture Park. Sunday also brings the Coillte Come Home World Cup Soccer Blitz, a darts final, and the annual Coillte Cup Golf Tournament at Balla Golf Club, followed by the festive “Pint ‘n’ Putt” at Ryan’s Bar.
Throughout the week, the unique Velorail experience will run special festival departures - an unmissable chance to explore the Mayo countryside in a truly novel way. Meanwhile, children aged four to 12 can enjoy the Kilticamps Summer Camp at St Louis Community School from July 7th to 11th, packed with sports, games, and talent shows.
Festivalgoers can follow the fun on social media via Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok, ensuring no one misses a moment of the action.
The organisers extend deep thanks to long-time supporters and this year’s generous sponsors - Teach O’Hora, Ryan’s Bar, Langan’s Bar, The Tavern, Kitty McGreal's, Cill Aodain Hotel, and Martinio’s Takeaway. The 2025 festival promises to be one to remember.
