Chelsea are into the Premier League's top four after beating Crystal Palace. 

The Blues eased to a 3-1 win over their London rivals thanks to goals from Estevao, Joao Pedro and Enzo Fernandez.

The Eagles went down to 10 men after Adam Wharton picked up two yellow cards.

Brentford are 2-0 down at home to Nottingham Forest as things stand while Aston Villa have a 2-0 lead over Newcastle.

Arsenal can restore their seven-point lead at the top of the Premier League this afternoon.

The league leaders welcome Manchester United in the big game of the day at 4:30pm.

GAA

All-Ireland football champions Kerry have kicked off the defence of their National League Division 1 title with a win.

Roscommon made them work for it, with the Kingdom coming out on top by 2-18 to 1-20.

Tomas Kennedy's late point was ruled as having been scored just before the hooter went.

Monaghan fell to a1-27 to 18 point loss to Armagh, while Andy Moran's reign as Mayo is underway with a 3-18 to 2-16 win over Galway.

In Division 2, Cork bested Cavan by 24 points to 2-17 while Louth got the better of Offaly by 1-21 to 19 points.


Kilkenny have opened their National Hurling League Division 1A campaign with a win.

The Cats beat Offaly by 20 points to 16 at Nowlan Park.

In that same division, Waterford have travelled to Cork where the action is just underway.

It's Cork 0-07 Waterford 0-01 early on.

Clare came from behind to beat Dublin by 3-18 to 1-22 in Division 1B.

Golf

In golf, American Patrick Reed cruised to victory in Dubai Desert Classic on 14 under par.

Rory Mcilroy has finished his final round at two under while Offaly man Shane Lowry came home at three under.

Tom McKibbon was the best of the Irish finishers at 4 under.

Tennis

18-year old Iva Jovic is through to a maiden Grand Slam tennis quarter-final. she will face world number one Aryna Sabalenka

Cricket

The Irish men's team have made it two wins from two over Italy in their T20 International Series this week.

Harry Tector top-scored with 96 not out in a 24-run victory on Sunday.

Ireland set a target of 191 to catch, with the Italians only managing 166 for 4 in their 20 overs.

It follows a three-wicket victory for Ireland on Thursday, with the third match in the series taking place tomorrow at 2pm Irish time.

Meanwhile, the under-19s are out of the World Cup.

Their Super Six match with the West Indies has been rained off.

The officials have awarded the win to the Windies using the Duckworth Lewis Method.
