Prizes presented to winners of Ronan’s races

Athletics: The 2026 Ronan Clarke 10k and 5k races and 5k walk, held annually in association with Killala GAA and the Clarke Family, took place on Sunday, June 7 in aid of the Mayo Roscommon Hospice Foundation and Killala GAA Benevolent Fund and once against it was a major success.
A large crowd was present on the day for what turned out to be two very exciting and competitive races, with this year's 10k race being the largest field yet. Special guests on the day were broadcaster Laurita Blewitt and Frank Mulvihill of the Mayo Roscommon Hospice Foundation.

The 10k men’s race was won by Sean Gallagher of Moy Valley AC in a time of 37:19, while the 10k women’s race was won by Aisling Moyles from Moygownagh in a time of 40:29.
The Ronan Clarke Memorial Cup, which is presented to the first member of Killala GAA Club to cross the finish line in the 10k race, was won by Brian Ferguson with a finishing time of 38:01.
The 5k men’s race was won by Conor McLoughlin and the 5k women’s race winner was Liadh McGrath.
