Merry Monk Ballina and Mayo Meteors in basketball action this weekend

Team Merry Monk Ballina will look to make it two wins from two in the Basketball Ireland Development League (BIDL) when they take on Limerick Celtics tomorrow (Saturday) at 1.30pm.
In their opening game of the league, they defeated Galway side Maree 83-65. Despite being down by five at half-time, they produced a stunning third quarter, winning 29-10 before holding off Maree in the final quarter for the win.
Top scorers on the day were Nathan Roddy (22), Ronan McGarrity (21) and Mark Cunningham (16).
Elsewhere, Mayo Meteors are in LLR action when they face Castlerea Cavaliers tomorrow evening at 7pm in the De La Salle Hall. Merry Monk and Mayo Meteors will face each other in the BIDL on November 23.
