The All-Ireland Hurling and Camogie Poc Fada competition took yesterday in the Annaverna Mountains in Co Louth.
In tough, competitions, Douglas missed out on the title by a single shot.
The Mayo goalkeeper was in the eleven-man line-up to compete for Senior Men's honours. The Mayo custodian recently won the Connacht Poc Fada championship in the Connacht GAA Centre, overcoming both Galway representatives on the night.
This was the Tooreen man’s third time taking on the Annaverna Mountain having finished fourth place last year.
Limerick hurler Colin Ryan emerged as king of the mountain again in Louth, capping off a landmark year by retaining the M Donnelly All-Ireland Poc Fada title.
Just over a fortnight after togging out as reserve goalkeeper for Limerick in Croke Park, Ryan powered to his third Poc Fada success.
