Two of Mayo's finest darts players have travelled to the UK in an attempt to play on the lucrative professional circuit.

Castlebar’s Ultan McDyer and Roundfort’s Conor Heneghan are among the 800 hopefuls who will compete in the 2025 PDC Qualifying School, which is staged in Milton Keynes and Germany, with 29 two-year Tour Cards up for grabs.

McDyer, making his second appearance at Q-School, is one of Castlebar’s brightest talents. He led his local team Flynn’s to a first ever Division 1 title in the Castlebar Town Darts League last year while he has also played for his town and county in recent years.

Heneghan, in his fourth attempt at Q-School, is no stranger to the big stage, being a regular on the MODUS Super Series. He won a Series Weekly title back in March and has produced three live broadcast nine-darters.

Both men begin their campaign in the First Stage, which gets underway today and you can follow their progress online on DartConnect.
