Mayo athlete wins bronze at senior championships

Sarah Quinn took home the bronze medal in a highly competitive field in the senior 100m women’s hurdles final at the 123.ie National Senior Track and Field Championships last weekend.

The St Colman’s South Mayo AC star finished in a time of 13.84, with the final won by irish recordholder and Olympian Sarah Lavin Two other Mayo athletes also reached finals. Pearl Sands (Moy Valley AC) finished sixth in the senior 5000m women’s final (27:35.14) while there was also a sixth-placed finish for Swinford AC’s Shane Bracken in the senior men’s 1500m (3:54.87).
