Mayo athlete in Irish squad for European Championships

A Mayo athlete is among the 34-strong Irish team will take to competition this weekend at the SPAR European Cross Country Championships which take place in Lagoa, Portugal.
Moy Valley AC's Kirsty Maher will compete in the U23 Women's Race (5,960m). She finished in the top 40 in the U20 Women’s race at last year's World Cross Country Championships. Her race is scheduled to be at 10:26am this Sunday.
Ballina AC's Hugh Armstrong is on the non-travelling reserves list for the Senior Men's contingent.
