Mayo County Council, in partnership with Mayo Sports Partnership, is inviting residents, clubs and communities to co-design a new Local Sports Plan for the county that will guide how the council continues to support and develop sport and physical activity in the future.

Aligning with Sport Ireland’s national priorities, this five-year Local Sports Plan will seek to enhance physical sports infrastructure across the county, strengthen opportunities for participation and further support Mayo’s clubs and dedicated volunteers who are so essential to sustaining and growing the county’s sports ecosystem week in week out.

It is important that this Local Sports Plan for Mayo is tailored to reflect local needs and aspirations of everyone across the county. As such, Mayo County Council, together with Mayo Sports Partnership, is inviting all those interested in the future development of sport and physical activity in County Mayo to contribute to this process.
