Mayo club aims for more All-Ireland glory

Breaffy Rounders will look to cement their status even further as one of the top rounders teams in the country as two of their sides chase All-Ireland glory.
First up, the senior women’s team look to complete their ‘drive for five’ as they take on Limekiln (Dublin) in the All-Ireland Senior Women’s Final this Sunday, August 30, at 3.30pm in NGDC Abbotstown, Dublin 15.
Breaffy ladies come into the 2026 All-Ireland final on the back of an unbeaten season to date. The Mayo team are chasing a historic fifth title in a row and their sixth in seven seasons, having previous won in 2020, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025. Led by a core of experienced players and mixed with some newer blood, they will leave it all on the field in order to capture another title.
Michelle Hopkins is captain, Katie Jordan is vice-captain, and the management team consists of Seamus Lunn, Colm Jordan and Steve Jordan.

On Sunday, September 13, the Breaffy mixed team are looking to win their third All-Ireland Senior Rounders title on the trot, after claiming the crowns in 2024 and 2025. They will face Barntown (Wexford) in Mallow, Co Cork, with action getting underway at 3.30pm The squad is built on strong ladies’ and men’s teams, having gone through the 2026 season unbeaten so far. Their team is littered with experienced players and, on their day, are a match for anyone.
Seamus Lunn, Steve Jordan are Ciara Groonell are the management team, with Colm Jordan and Michelle Hopkins as vice-captains.
This year’s finals represent a landmark moment for Ireland’s most inclusive GAA sport. Featuring action across Senior, Intermediate, and Junior grades in Men’s, Women’s, and Mixed divisions, fans are guaranteed a showcase of elite athletic skill, tactical precision, and high-energy drama.
In a major milestone for the sport, all finals will be live-streamed with full commentary on TG4 Sport’s YouTube channel, ensuring supporters nationwide and abroad won't miss a single pitch.
GAA Rounders launched its nine All-Ireland Championship finals last Wednesday in Croke Park with Úachtarán CLG Jarlath Burns and Úachtarán CLG Cluiche Corr Paula Doherty in attendance along with players from finalist teams.
After a successful season which commenced on April 19 and has run all summer, the 103 teams who entered the Championship have been whittled down to the final 18 who will contest All-Ireland finals over the next three Sundays.
The other finals taking place are:
· Junior Women’s Final (11am): St. Kieran’s (Limerick) vs St. Senan’s (Limerick)
· Intermediate Women’s Final (1pm): Elphin(Roscommon) vs Galway City Rapparees (Galway)
· Junior Men’s Final (11am): Gusserane (Wexford) vs Myshall (Carlow)
· Intermediate Men’s Final (1pm): St. Clare’s (Cavan) vs St. Senan’s (Limerick)
· Senior Men’s Final (3.30pm): Carrickmacross Emmets (Monaghan) vs Erne Eagles (Cavan)
· Junior Mixed Final (11am): Galway City Rapparees (Galway) vs Kilmore (Roscommon)
· Intermediate Mixed Final (1pm): Emo (Laois) vs Galway City Rapparees (Galway)
