Children flock to Claremorris for the love of Games
East Mayo AC were out in force at Claremorris Athletics Track for the Children's Games.
Athletics: The Westnet Mayo Children’s Games (U9 to U11) and Track and Field Championships (U12s) were held in Claremorris where almost 460 athletes – and no fewer than 95 relay teams – competed on the day. The weather was a mixture of heavy rain, wind and sunshine, not that it deterred the children who gave it their all – particularly the under-9 girls and boys who were competing for the first time. The best of luck to all who qualified for the Connacht championships.
