All-Ireland treble on the cards for Mayo rounders club

Members of the mens, ladies and mixed Breaffy rounders teams. All three sides have reached their respective All-Ireland finals
The Breaffy rounders teams had a milestone day Clonguish, Co Longford last weekend, as the mens, ladies and mixed sides all reached the All-Ireland final.
In a tight game throughout, the men made their first final in nearly 30 years after defeating Limekiln in their semi-final 16-15. The mixed team had things a bit more comfortable, despite the game having to be restarted at the top of the 5th due to a technicality. Breaffy pushed on in the restarted game and took a hard fought win 14-6.
The ladies, who won their first All-Ireland title in 2021 which was the 2020 final after a delay due to Covid and won it again in 2022, are also back in the final but not without giving everyone a scare in a game that was probably amazing as a neutral, but tough to watch. Theu booked their place in the final, with a final run in the dying light of the evening to win 18-17.
Breaffy will look to complete a memorable treble when they play their finals on Sunday, September 15 in Abbotstown. The ladies will play Glynn/Barntown, who they beat in the 2020 final, at 11am. The mixed team will play Limekiln at 1.30pm followed up by the men’s final at 4pm, which sees them face Erne Eagles of Cavan.
There was also success for the Kilmeena mixed team, who won their intermediate semi-final against Emo Rounder 9-8 to set up a final with Raheen Rounders this Sunday in Clonguish.
