Consello, the global advisory and investing platform led by Tipperary native Declan Kelly, has announced a new long-term partnership with major champion Shane Lowry.

Under the deal, Offaly man Lowry will serve as a Consello Ambassador, with the Consello logo appearing on his golf apparel throughout the PGA and DP World Tour season and at related appearances.

Consello founder, chair and chief executive, Declan Kelly said on Monday: “Shane brings enormous talent, a relentless pursuit of excellence and great humility as a golfer and person.

Mr Kelly said that Shane Lowry “represents the very best of his sport, and his values align naturally with those of our firm. We are proud to partner with him and look forward to supporting him in the years ahead.”

Shane Lowry said: “I’ve known Declan for many years, and I’ve watched with great admiration the distinct and ambitious growth of Consello since its formation.

"I’m proud to be associated with a firm so relentlessly focused on helping the best in the world be even better and excited to be partnering with the team.”

Last September at the Bethpage Black course on Long Island, Lowry enjoyed a career highlight when his putt on the 18th green on the final day of singles helped Europe retain the Ryder Cup in dramatic circumstances.

Last year, Lowry set up his own management company after a 15-year long association with Horizon Sports Management.

Lowry came to international prominence in 2009 with his historic victory at the Irish Open as a 22-year-old amateur and later cemented his place among the game’s elite with his win at The Open Championship.

A multiple winner on the PGA Tour and DP World Tour, Lowry has performed at the highest level of the sport for more than a decade, including representing Europe in three Ryder Cups.

The partnership reflects Consello’s continued commitment to sport and aligns with the firm’s Sports and Entertainment business, which advises teams, leagues, owners, and investors on strategy, capital, and long-term value creation across sport and adjacent industries.

Alongside the Sports and Entertainment practice, Consello offers advisory services across corporate strategy, M&A, management consulting, and talent, with each business led by deeply experienced operators with expansive industry-wide networks.

Lowry and Kelly are understood to be close friends for many years.

Another key figure in the deal is fellow friend of Lowry and Dublin native Nick Mullen, who Kelly appointed as Head of Consello’s Sports Advisory business last year.

Consello, which was founded just under four years ago by Kelly, has grown to today to have offices in New York, Miami, Atlanta, Dublin, Belfast, London, Abu Dhabi, and Riyadh.

Lowry is in good sporting company at the firm, whose US Partners include NFL legend Tom Brady, 23-time Grand Slam winner Serena Williams and six-time NBA All-Star Pau Gasol.

In the UK, former Manchester United captain and current broadcaster and businessman Gary Neville Chairs Consello Sports in the UK.

Last year also saw Kelly lead, with Neville and David Beckham, a take-over of Salford City - the League 2 football team based in Manchester.

It launched its Irish operation 14 months ago and its team of senior advisors here includes former Irish champion golfer and Ryder Cup captain Paul McGinley, Ireland, and Munster rugby legend and La Rochelle coach Ronan O’Gara and 5,000m World Champion Eamon Coghlan.
