Aadya Srivastava (18), born in Galway and now living in Cross Co Mayo for the last three years, was crowned Miss Universe Ireland at the Hilton Hotel Dublin at a glittering ceremony.

Aadya is in her second year at the University of Galway, studying Law, Politics and Economics. Through this, she hopes to pursue a career in International Human rights law.

Speaking after her win last night, Aadya said, “This win is so special to me, and I really wasn’t expecting it all because all of the girls here had such amazing and inspirational stories. As a proud Irish woman of Indian heritage, I want the opportunity to amplify the voices of diversity and resilience and be an advocate for justice and compassion.”

Finalists from all over Ireland competed for the coveted Miss Universe Ireland crown at a spectacular ceremony with special guest performances from BFamous Stage School. Miss Universe Ireland 2024, Sofia Labus from Cork, crowned Aadya, who will go on to represent Ireland at the 74th much-anticipated Miss Universe 2025 final.

On November 24th, Thailand will host the global event where women from more than 100 countries will compete for the crown currently held by Victoria Kjær Theilvig.
