When is the new ORANGE weather warning for Mayo and Connacht in place?
Impacts include dangerous travelling conditions on roads and underfoot, travel disruption/delays and animal welfare issues.
An additional Status Orange Low Temperature/Ice warning is in place for Connacht from 6pm this evening (Wednesday, January 8).
The weather warning will be valid until 11am tomorrow (Thursday, January 9).
Met Éireann say it will be extremely cold with widespread severe frost, ice and lying snow.

This follows on from the Status Orange Low Temperature/Ice warning which is valid until 10am this morning.
