'Very positive' news on new transport link to Ireland West Airport Knock

Ireland West Airport Knock.

Following a series of representations from Senator Mark Duffy, the NTA has proposed the introduction of a new bus service that will offer passengers in North and East Mayo regular daily services to Ireland West Airport Knock.

The proposed service will connect passengers with the Route 22 Ballina – Dublin service in Charlestown, serving Knock airport, then travelling onwards to Kiltimagh and finishing in Castlebar.

Senator Mark Duffy said: “The news is very positive for towns and communities across East Mayo. I am glad that the NTA has accepted my proposals and I am calling on the government to fund this proposal, which will enhance connectivity across Mayo, and I will be doing everything I can to advocate for its delivery.”
