Staff at Mayo multi-national raise vital funds for charity

Hollister associates and Ballina Site Director Paul O’Malley present the proceeds of their fundraising initiative to James Carty, Chairperson of Mayo branch, Down Syndrome Ireland.
Hollister Ballina held a series of fundraising events in the month of December as part of their annual charity drive and this Christmas, their charity of choice was the Mayo Branch of Down Syndrome Ireland.
Annually, the associates in Hollister Ballina come together to decide what they can do to help others in the community and one of their biggest fundraisers for the year is based around several events run throughout the month of December.
The month kicked off with a “Christmas Site Light Up” event to set the atmosphere for the events to follow. This was followed by a craft fare where family members are encouraged to bring their wares onsite to display for associates to purchase.
The Associates themselves have a “Make, Bake & Bring” day where they displayed and sold their home-made goods to raise funds. Additionally, there were wooden ornaments on sale for the Hollister Memory Tree and huge raffle runs throughout the month for hampers.
This donation will go a long way to subsidising vital services for members of the Mayo Branch of Down Syndrome Ireland, so that they can keep working on breaking down barriers.
