Praise for 'a class job' in Westport

The Cathaoirleach of Westport-Belmullet Municipal District has thanked Mayo Co Council for a series of improvement works carried out recently at Westport's High Street carpark. 

Paying tribute at the recent municipal meeting to fellow councillors for allocating General Municipal Allocation money for the work, Cllr Peter Flynn described the upgrade as “a class job” and said it marks a worthwhile long-term investment for the town. He told management: “You managed the works on a tight budget and what you achieved there needs to be recognised. Credit where credit is due and hopefully the end result is it will hopefully bring additional money in.”
