Mayo woman and Operation Transformation leader Edel O’Malley and her fellow leaders star in the programme's finale this Wednesday night.

Over the past eight weeks, Edel from Ballinrobe, Noel from Kildare, Michelle from Dublin, Darragh from Limerick and Anne from Wexford have gone on an incredible journey as part of their transformation.

In doing so, they have inspired their friends, family, communities and the nation and have taken on the challenge of the Operation Transformation plan.

Edel, who works in HR at Ashford Castle, has led community walks in Ballinrobe, her native Belcarra, Castlebar and other locations around the county in recent weeks.

Last Saturday, Edel and the other four leaders took on the challenge their eight-week journey has been leading up to, the Operation Transformation 5K in Phoenix Park.

Wednesday’s night finale will showcase how Edel and company got on at the event, where they were joined and cheered on by friends, family and the Operation Transformation experts and will look back at how they got on during the series.

The finale airs this Wednesday at 9.35pm on RTÉ One.
