New homeless action plan to be drafted at the start of 2024
A new regional homeless plan is to be published at the start of 2024, members of the Mayo Housing SPC learned.
A new regional homeless plan is to be published at the start of 2024, Mayo County Council's Housing Strategic Policy Committee (SPC) was told.
The current West Regional Homeless Action Plan, from 2020 to 2023, is being reviewed. The regional lead, Galway City Council, has engaged with a consultant to review the current document and draft a new plan for 2024-2026.
The homeless action team in Mayo has met with the consultant and outlined their plans. It will be brought before all four municipal districts in Mayo in the first quarter of 2024, before being brought to the full council.
