MUH Service of Remembrance for pregnancy and child loss

MUH Service of Remembrance for pregnancy and child loss

Mayo University Hospital in Castlebar will host its 24th Service of Remembrance on Friday, February 27th, 2026, at 7pm.

The service will be held at Mary's Hall, Atlantic Technological University, Mayo Campus (beside the hospital, Eircode - F23 X853).

The annual service is for all bereaved parents that Mayo University Hospital has cared for, and their families, who have lost a baby at any stage of pregnancy or who have experienced the sad death of a child, whether the loss is recent or not.

The organisers invite parents, grandparents, siblings and wider family, friends and colleagues to come along to connect and commemorate.

The service includes music and reflection, a candle lighting ceremony and the opportunity to make an entry with your baby or child's details in the Book of Remembrance.

There is no need to book your appointment, just come along on the night. Parking is available on site. Refreshments will be available afterwards.
