Moy Valley Resources appoints new General Manager

Moy Valley Resources has announced the appointment of Jacqueline Kinsella as General Manager of Operations and Business Development, following ratification by the Board of Directors.

Jacqueline will hold the most senior management role within Moy Valley Resources, leading the day-to-day management and continued development of the organisation, and working with the Board, programme managers and staff to strengthen the company, its programmes and services across North Mayo and West Sligo.

A Kildare native, Jacqueline joined Moy Valley Resources in 2015, working first with the Community Services team before moving to the Community Employment Programme in 2017. Moy Valley Resources operates the largest community employment scheme in North Mayo.

As Community Employment Supervisor between 2017 and 2026, she supported up to 46 participants across North Mayo and West Sligo, helping people to build skills and confidence, gain work experience and move towards employment.

Since 2018, Jacqueline has also worked as Operations Manager at Greenhills Enterprise Centre at Bunree, Ballina. Since its opening in 2024, she has held the role of Operations Manager at Innovation Quarter (IQ) Ballina as a member of the Moy Valley Resources team, working with strategic partners Mayo County Council and Local Enterprise Office Mayo, supporting the day-to-day running of the centre and working with businesses and other clients based in the complex.

IQ Ballina has been shortlisted for a national award in the “Promoting Economic Development” category of the 2026 Excellence in Local Government Awards hosted by Chambers Ireland.

Jacqueline has continued to develop her skills throughout her time with Moy Valley Resources. She has completed degrees in Business Management Applications and Business, including an Honours Degree in Business, and is currently pursuing an Honours Degree in Accounting Technology. She also recently earned a Special Purpose Award in Training and Development and holds qualifications in legal studies and event management.

Her new position will also give Jacqueline scope to bring her business experience and knowledge to the continued development of the organisation, support its financial sustainability and help expand its work with communities across the region.

Jacqueline takes up the newly structured General Manager role following the departure of former CEO Annette Maughan, whose leadership made a lasting contribution to Moy Valley Resources. The new role has a significant focus on the day-to-day running and development of the organisation and on building a robust platform for its programmes and services into the future.
