'Gift to all of us' - Tributes paid during funeral mass of Róisín Cryan

The late Roisin Cryan.
The funeral of Róisín Cryan took place earlier today as family, friends and neighbours heard of how she was ‘a gift to all of us.’
The body of Ms Cryan, a native of Carrick-on-Shannon, Co Leitrim and living in Ballina at the time of her death, was recovered from the River Moy last Saturday morning following a search operation involving the Garda Water Unit, River Moy Search and Rescue, the Coast Guard, Gráinne Uaile Sub Aqua Club, Teach an Uisce and Civil Defence.
She is survived by her heartbroken parents Joe and Marguerite, fiancé Conor Loftus (Crossmolina), sisters Annmarie, Clare, Ruth and Maeve, Clare’s fiancé Eugene, the Loftus family, aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives, neighbours, work colleagues and a large circle of friends.
Her family paid tribute to their beloved sister and daughter at her funeral mass this morning, celebrated by Fr Frank Garvey, in a eulogy spoken on their behalf by a family friend. The family also thanked all of the agencies involved in the search for Róisín, as well as local volunteers, businesses and organizations who played a role.
“Her warmth wasn’t just felt, it was celebrated. She stayed close to those who cared about her through phone calls and voice notes. The amount of people who travelled from far and wide to be here today is testament to her,” they said.
They said her fiancé Conor was a cherished part of her life.
“They were true soulmates, they shared so much together. Creating memories that will last a lifetime. Their love knew no bounds.”
The family said Róisín had a profound impact on everyone during her life.
“Roisin was a gift to all of us and although her time here was far too short, her impact was profound. She taught us to love fiercely, laugh often and cherish the little things.
“Rest in peace Roisin our princess, we love you forever.”
Burial took place following the funeral mass at Drumlion Cemetery.
