Gardaí investigating violent disorder incident in west of Ireland make arrests 

Gardaí investigating an incident of violent disorder in Loughnaneane Park, Roscommon, on 27th of July 2025 have arrested four people.

Two residential properties in Co Longford were searched today, 8th September, 2025, and four people were arrested (a male in his 30s, a female in her 20s and two juveniles).

They are being detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at stations in the Garda North Western Region.

Gardaí have appealed to anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward, including anyone with camera footage from the Loughnenane Park area on 27th July 2025.
