Foxford man to take on Camino challenge for Cliona’s Foundation
Jason will take on the route historically known as the 'End of the World'.
A Foxford-based businessman will take on the final stage of the Camino de Santiago this October in support of Cliona’s Foundation.
Jason Howley will walk the 90km Camino Finisterre route from Santiago de Compostela to Finisterre, historically known as the 'End of the World'.
Last year, he completed the journey to Santiago de Compostela, and this year will continue where he left off, taking on the final stretch towards the Atlantic coast to raise funds for the charity.
“It’s a demanding journey, but one with a very important purpose,” Jason said. “Having been involved with Cliona’s for a number of years, I have seen the difference their work can make to families during some of the hardest times in their lives.
“That is why I am proud to take on this challenge and raise funds for a cause that means a great deal to me.”
Ahead of the challenge, Jason will host a coffee morning at Phil HQ in Foxford on Saturday, September 12, from 10am to 2pm, in support of Cliona’s Foundation.
Brendan Ring, Cliona’s father and co-founder of the charity, will be joining on the day.
Anyone who donates to the Camino fundraiser, either through the fundraising page or at the coffee morning, will be entered into a draw to win one of two €100 vouchers.
