Five road projects in North Mayo get funding

A local councillor has welcomed improvement works on the Killala Road in Ballina. 

At the June meeting of Ballina Municipal District, Cllr John O’Hara noted that almost €365,000 has been approved for strengthening works, saying it was great to see the work in progress. He also noted that permission had been approved for a new housing estate in the area. 

Other roads in the district to get funding are: Knockmore - €364,502 - tender evaluation commenced; Behy/Abbeytown - €135,103 - survey works commenced; Corcullin - €150,800 - tender documents preparation commenced; Rathoonagh - €200,100 - tenders under assessment.
