New barrister is welcomed at Castlebar court
The new barrister was formally welcomed to the court.
A new Mayo barrister has been welcomed to the Western Circuit.
Ballina-native Rachel Foody attended Castlebar Circuit Court for the first time last week.
Diarmuid Connolly, speaking on behalf of the barristers of the county, welcomed Ms Foody to the court.
He said the UL graduate’s insight and ability will be a welcome addition to the court and the county’s legal fraternity.
“I wish her every good luck into the future,” said Mr Connolly.
Judge Eoin Garavan also extended a warm welcome to the Ballina barrister as she joins the Western Circuit.
“I don’t think we have had a new barrister for many years now,” said the Judge.
“The very best of luck in your career and I have no doubt we will encounter one another often within these walls,” Judge Garavan added.
