Council to apply for funding for long-awaited Ballina street works

Mayo County Council will make a submission to TII for long-awaited works on a Ballina street.

Cllr Annie May Reape welcomed that a submission will be made for the installation of a ramp, upgraded road markings and enhanced flashing beacons at the pedestrian crossing near McGowan's Funeral Home on Emmet Street.

"This is very welcome news for Ballina. I asked for an update at last weeks Roads SPC and I'm delighted the Council are seeking funding."
