Ballina students picked as mascots for Europa League Final A number of students from Ballina have been selected as mascots for tomorrow night’s Europa League Final at the Aviva in Dublin.

The UEFA Foundation and Rio Ferdinand Foundation have collaborated to give 22 young people the honour of walking out of the tunnel alongside the players.

Among the mascots for the game will be 11 pupils from Culleens National School, Ballina and 11 young people from the Sport Against Racism Ireland project in Dublin.

Match mascots will be cheered on by their parents and chaperones, who will join an expected crowd of over 50,000 for the final between Atalanta and Bayern Leverkusen.

Rio Ferdinand visited Ballina Town FC back in March.
