Ballina man wins Apprentice of the Year at Bus Éireann Awards

Bus Éireann, Ireland’s national bus company, has celebrated its employees’ achievements in 2023 at the national annual GEM (‘Go the Extra Mile’) Awards, which recognises excellent customer service, community impact, performance and forward-thinking.

Awards were issued in several different categories including Clerical Employee of the Year, Depot of the Year, Executive of the Year as well as Driver and Community Awards.

One member of the Bus Éireann team who certainly went the extra mile this year is the winner of the coveted ‘Apprentice of the Year’ prize, Kyle Gibbons Wolfe.

Kyle, from Ballina, has been recognised by his colleagues for his excellent work over the past year. His willingness and flexibility to help others emerged as a key facet of his personality. Kyle, in his fourth year as an apprentice, has stood-out amongst his peers as a reliable force and positive presence.
