ALERT: Mayo Garda issues important advice ahead of winter months

Community Garda Liaison Officer Mick Toland, who has given very interesting talks to the Islandeady community, has repeated some advice for everyone for the coming winter months:

1. Secure your outdoor oil tank and be observant when deliveries are being made; 2. The importance of locking, securing your home with alarms/cctv especially with the arrival of the long dark evenings; 3 Report any unusual activity or suspicious vehicles in your area, obtaining a Reg No or photo is hugely beneficial but do not endanger yourself in any way.
