New single from talented Ballina-born songwriter
Ballina singer and songwriter Sarah Keane has released a new single.
A richly-textured new track from folk-pop artist Sarah Keane is set to capture an even broader audience for the music of this prolific Ballina-born songwriter.
Sarah has just launched her new single, 'Letters', the second track taken from her upcoming debut EP.
‘Letters’ features wistful piano and strings, backing the lyrics which tell the story of Sarah reaching out to a friend whom she hadn’t heard from in a while. After not being able to get in touch, her only option was to write a letter.
“We would often go for long periods without chatting, except this time, when I went to contact him, his social media presence had disappeared and his phone wasn’t working. I feared for the worst and just wished I’d got in touch much sooner,” explains Sarah.
“The song captures a time when I was hoping I would get a chance to remind him there are always friends who care. Hopefully, it will encourage some listeners to reach out to old friends and inspire connection”, said the singer formerly known as Rowlette.
She has supported Irish talent both at home and overseas, including CMAT, Jack L, Junior Brother and Lisa Canny. Her music has been featured on radio and TV at home and abroad, including on RTÉ 1 television, RTÉ Radio 1, BBC, 2fm and .
Sarah has become known for her soulful vocals, unique story-telling ability, enchanting performances and trademark acoustic guitar playing.
With her upcoming EP, Sarah will have a busy few months ahead, and has just finished a tour across Ireland and London. Music fans are encouraged to keep an eye on her social media channels over the coming weeks as more details of gigs and her upcoming EP, to be released in the autumn, will be revealed.
'Letters' is now available on all streaming platforms.
