Emer said she was honoured and proud to be part of this group of players and management.

"We want to build on last year's performances and I truly believe this management team will challenge these players to improve and excel in a high-performance environment. In my opinion, this is one of the best squads I have been lucky enough to be involved with. From existing players to young blood coming through, the competition for selection will give us headaches in a good way. I'm looking forward to what the new season brings," she said.

Connacht began their 2023 August campaign with a thrilling 18-17 win against a strong Leinster side at The Sportsground. They went on to fall 46-7 to Munster at Musgrave Park in the second round, but then came back to beat Ulster 29-24 at home. Their final match of the campaign saw a 36-14 loss to Ulster at Musgrave Park.

They will look to capitalise on their progress with a successful 2024 campaign. Match fixtures are to be confirmed.
