Mayo man selected on Irish team for Islands International

Conor Heneghan (right) won the Kevin O'Brien Memorial Darts Competition in Mick O'Brien's Bar in Claremorris recently. Conor also had the highest checkout in the tournament with a 160 finish.

Roundfort native Conor Heneghan has been selected on the Republic of Ireland men's squad for the upcoming Islands International tournament on the Isle of Man.

Heneghan is coming into the tournament in good form after winning Kevin O'Brien Memorial Darts Tournament recently, as he defeated Pat Griffin in the final.

The Islands International will take place over the weekend of January 26-28, 2024. It starts on the Friday with a singles completion and Saturday and Sunday at The Empress hotel in Douglas, where the Island teams will take on their counterparts from the Isle of Man, Guernsey and Jersey in a round robin competition.
