One of Mayo’s brightest golf talents has been named once more in the Irish team for the European Mid-Amateur Team Championships in Spain next month.
Ballinrobe’s Shannon Burke, who was crowned Irish Mid-Amateur Women’s Open champion last weekend, has kept her spot on the women’s team alongside Jessica Ross (Clandeboye) and Aideen Walsh (Lahinch).
Damien Coyne (Tuam) has been appointed Irish captain.
The action takes place at Empordà between September 10-13, with Ireland looking to replicate their history-making third-place finishes in both inaugural championships at Golf de Chiberta last year.
