Mayo darting duo set for PDC Q-School

Roundfort's Conor Heneghan.

Two of Mayo’s best darting talents will look to earn a spot on the lucrative Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) Tour as they compete in PDC Qualifying School.

Roundfort’s Conor Heneghan and Castlebar’s Ultan McDyer are both in Milton Keynes as they look to win a coveted two-year Tour Card.

Ultan has made a major impact over the past few years locally and playing with Mayo and hopes to make his Q-School debut one to remember. Conor has attained great success over the past two, hitting two nine-dart finishes in the Modus Super Series.

They will have to navigate their way through a stacked lineup if they are to win a Tour Card. Other participants include three-time world champion John Part, former World Grand Prix and UK Open champion Robert Thornton, World Championship runners-up Kevin Painter, Andy Hamilton and Mark Dudbridge, women’s star Fallon Sherrock and many more.

The First Stage gets underway tomorrow (Monday) and you can follow their progress on DartConnect.
