Mayo athlete smashes another Irish record

Hot on the heels of a National U20 Indoor record over 3,000m last weekend at the National Senior Indoor Championships, Moy Valley AC atahlete Seamus Clarke smashed the U20 Irish 10,000m record set in 2001 by winning the World Athletics Race Walking Gold Tour event in Dudince, Slovakia.
Seamus crossed the line in a PB time of 42:06min and shaved 43 seconds of the Irish record set by Olympian Colin Griffin 25 years ago.
This performance sets Seamus up very well for competing in the World Team Championships in Brazil next month.
