Mayo AC duo earn Mayo Sports Stars Awards

It will be a proud night for Mayo AC as two of their athletes will be honoured at the 2023 Western People Mayo Sports Stars Awards.
The exceptional performances of Pauline Moran throughout 2023, but specifically at the World Masters Athletics Championships where she won four gold medals (over three distances), see her win selected as the Athletics award winner. Pauline also won double gold at the British and Irish Masters cross countries.
Running is also recognised with the selection of Adrian McNamara as recipient of the Endurance award. The Ballindine runner marked New Year’s Eve by setting a new Irish record when running almost 144 kilometres in 12 hours.
The 2023 Western People Mayo Sports Stars Awards gala banquet will take place at Breaffy House Resort on the night of Friday, February 16, 2024. The function will include a drinks reception, a three-course meal, wine, the awards ceremony and entertainment. Tickets are priced at €65 per person.
