It follows the retailer’s price cuts in recent months for key household staples right across its range, including milk, bread, fresh fruit and vegetables, lunchbox essentials, and meat.

Aldi will close its Irish stores for three days over the holidays, on Christmas Day, St. Stephen’s Day and New Year’s Day.

From March 25th, all ALDI stores will open from 8am, Monday to Saturday, and close at 10pm.

The supermarket chain said a typical trolley of the most popular goods reduced from €121 to €106.
