Millions of mobile, broadband, and TV customers will once again see their bills rise from April 1st due to annual price rises from some of Ireland's biggest telecom providers.

A Mayo councillor has called on the local authority to reinvest any rates received from Ireland West Airport back into the airport. Cllr Gerry Murray made the comments at a recent meeting of Mayo County Council.

The reduced rate will apply for new customers from Monday

The Commissioner of Valuation had argued rates for the nightclub and hotel should be calculated based on a €1.75 million estimated net annual value, as opposed to the current €1.15 million value

Mayo County Council has been asked to address fuel card issues following an audit report. The council had approximately 230 fuel cards with a gross expenditure in 2022 of approximately €860,000.
