Scarlett Faulkner died on Monday after she was taken off life support at Cork University Hospital last Sunday.

David Gallagher has been charged with the murder of his mother and with assault causing harm to his father, close to the family home in Ballinlough on November 17th.

The main reasons cited for the change are the impact on regular Sunday Mass-goers, who may feel a funeral is being added to or overshadowing the normal liturgy.

Hundreds of mourners started to gather about an hour prior to his funeral Mass at 11am at St James’ Church in Horsewood, Co Wexford.
