The woman, a passenger in the car, was brought to University Hospital Limerick for treatment of serious, life-threatening injuries.

The incident took place in an estate in Mullingar on Monday evening.

Kian Dawson died and the driver of the car, a man aged in his 20s, was seriously injured.

The accident occurred on the L1406 Dugort to Slievemore road on Tuesday morning 30th July
