The ex-Sinn Féin president said he was consulting lawyers after a Bill was tabled to prevent him securing a payout over his internment in the 1970s.

A 2020 Supreme Court ruling had paved the way for Mr Adams to secure compensation for his detention without trial in the early 1970s.
