The forecaster said areas of dense fog and freezing fog could affect visibility and create hazardous travelling conditions.

It includes all of Leinster along with counties Cavan, Monaghan, Leitrim, Roscommon, Tipperary and Waterford

Met Éireann said Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford, Wicklow and Waterford will be affected until midnight tonight

The worst of Storm Kathleen appears to be over, but there is still a status yellow warning in place for three counties while 2,000 homes are still without power

Thursday evening will see scattered showers, with a chance of snow on higher ground, with temperatures of three to six degrees.
