Tracey Monaghan’s daughter Toni Marie was 17 when she died just days before Christmas in 2023.

On Tuesday, November 28, Anam Cara will hold its Mayo meeting in the Royal Theatre in Castlebar at 7:15pm. All bereaved parents in the area are most welcome to attend, regardless of the age of the child or circumstances of death.

Fifteen years ago, Anam Cara (soul friend) was set up by bereaved parents for bereaved parents. At that time, there were no support services across the island for parents who were numb, lost and grieving the passing of their child/children.
