Gardaí executed a search warrant at a residence in the Englishtown area of the city shortly after 3pm on Tuesday, May 20th.

The search was conducted by gardaí attached to the Divisional Drug Unit, assisted by members of the Armed Support Unit.

The garda was transferred to Cork University Hospital for medical assistance
