Gardaí attended the scene of a road traffic collision that occurred on the Kilmurry Roundabout, Castletroy, Co Limerick on Tuesday 18th November 2025 at approximately 10pm.

Jacob Kotze believes that if he had been driving at speed, the deer, which hit the bonnet of the car, would have been thrown through the windscreen and into him.

The car displayed expired tax and NCT discs and when the man was asked to produce his license he told the garda he had left it at home.
