The two men are currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at garda stations in the Dublin region. 

A 19-year-old male cyclist who was injured in a collision on Sunday night, July 27th, on the R113, Fonthill Road South, Clondalkin, Dublin 22, has also died. 

The assault took place at a residence in Kilcronan View, Clondalkin, Dublin 22.

The station was evacuated and the Irish Defence Forces Explosive Ordnance Disposal unit was called in.

Dublin Circuit Criminal Court heard that a 35-year-old man, who cannot be named in order to protect the identity of his child, pleaded guilty to one count of child neglect at a location in the Dublin 15 area on October 21st, 2023

He said he had been drinking and could not remember where he left the car and that his daughter was inside.
