Gardaí and emergency services were alerted shortly after 11:30pm after a car struck a pedestrian at Peake, on the Tuam Road in Loughgeorge.

The other driver, a man in his 30s was conveyed to Cork University Hospital for treatment of injuries not believed to be life-threatening at this time.

The incident happened on Friday night on the N83 at Levallyroe, shortly after 8:00pm.
