Zak Hania returned to Ireland at the weekend having finally managed to leave the enclave via the Rafah crossing into Egypt.

Zak Hania was blocked from leaving the besieged enclave in November when his wife and four sons crossed the border into Egypt.

Zak Hania previously spoke about his fear of never seeing his family again after they were able to leave Gaza at the end of last year.

Zak Hania said he feels ‘abandoned’ by the Irish authorities after appeals for help to leave Gaza went unanswered.
